Wellness Recipe — Ojas Snack Balls


What if there was a delicious snack that could help you improve your Vitality, Immunity, and Mood (known collectively in Ayurveda as your “ojas”)?

Well friends, allow me to introduce you to a treat called Ojas Balls. I made them the other day and have been snacking on them all week! Just combine the ingredients, roll into a ball and pop in the fridge to chill until ready to eat.

The Recipe:

  • 6 large Medjool dates (pitted)
  • 6 tbsp almond butter, unsweetened
  • 1 tbsp ghee or coconut oil
  • 1 handful nuts – choose almonds, cashews, pecans, walnuts and slice or chop well
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp almond extract
  • 1/4 cup oats or granola
  • pinch of sea salt


To combine in a food processor: chop dates and then add to processor with granola, extracts, spices and nuts. Add & blend ghee/coconut oil and almond butter.


To combine by hand: chop dates and combine with all ingredients into a bowl. Mix by hand until well combined. Add more granola/oats if too wet; add more ghee/coconut oil if too dry.


Roll into 1″ balls by hand. Chill for 1 hr in fridge in a glass container. When you’re ready to eat them, remove from fridge and let stand for 2-5 mins.
